Italian form LAD in association with Hypnos Studio has identified a busy around about in the beautiful city of Milan with a potential to host a new public square typology. The roundabout chosen is an important central hub and gateway to Milan.  it is surrounded by concrete facades and contains absolutely no public green space. It is this lack of green that the designers saw as an opportunity to bring about an architectural solution. They aim to create a Hanging Garden above this public square and to restore the site as it was in 1865 before they got over run by skyscrapers and vehicles. The designers believe in introducing green space to an existing location to be a more quick and efficient solution rather than finding a completely new province. The project would have two levels, connected by a system of ramps, with an oculus in the centre that looks down into the plaza.
